By becomming a member, not only are you saying that you believe that every animal deserves a second chance but your membership dollors go directly towards the care of the less fortunate animals that have been adandoned, dropped off or were strays wandering aimlessly looking for their "furever home".
The Bedford County Humane Society is comprised of a dedicated staff whose main concern is the welfare of ANY animal that comes through our door. Through the collective efforts of individuals (as yourself), corporations and the staff we strive to to reach our goal of 100% adoption.
When you become a member of The Bedford County Humane Society, you are showing your commitment to helping us continue to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Members help choose the future direction of the Society when they elect the Board of Directors at the annual meeting. Our founding trustees knew that members are crucial to the building of a successful and accountable community organization. With the support of good people, we can move mountains. Together, we can save animals by preventing cruelty and suffering, and helping them find the homes that they deserve.
